Goals For the Walk

  • Raise money to fund Alzheimer's care, support, and research
    • We challenge each member to raise $20 each
    • How can I do this?
    • Ask 20 people for $1 or ask 5 people for $4 (you get the math!)
    • You can collect the money cash or through Venmo whichever is easier for you
    • Once registered you can click donate > one-time donation> display your name and amount donated> and if you are comfortable, insert your card number and donate the amount of money you collected.
    • Raise Awareness
    • Use the QR code below to join the team on the official Alzheimers Association website

Get Involved

You not only have the opportunity to help as a member but you can also serve on our Philanthropy Committee. Each year, toward the end of the fall semester, our Philanthropy Chair opens up applications for the committee and chooses 8 or 9 individuals who are dedicated to the cause. The committee will assist with all things philanthropy related, from profit shares, to advocacy, to the planning of our main philanthropy event- Race Against Alzheimer’s 5k- in the spring semester. This is a fantastic way to get to know your fellow society members, build your medical school application, and is a great transition into an officer position!

Applications are closed.

Walk to End Alzheimer's 2023

This Year’s Walk To End Alzheimer’s is on October 21nd!
Howdy! Welcome to the Pre-Med Society Philanthropy page where you can learn how to support and bring awareness to Alzheimer’s. Throughout the year, we hold events to bring awareness and raise money for the Alzheimer's Association, an organization with fundraising goals directed toward "a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia". In this school year of 2023-2024, we will be hosting safe and unique events to not only fundraise but give back to those affected within our Bryan/College Station community.  More information on our fundraising events, including our "Field Day to End Alzheimers” that occurs in the spring semester will be made available at a later time. In the mean time, tune in, get excited about being a part of a great cause, and if you have any questions about our philanthropy or have any suggestions on how we can further support the Alzheimers Association, email Bethany Beal at Bethanybeal@tamu.edu

In March of 2024, the Texas A&M Pre-Medical Society will have our first annual BTHO Alzheimer’s 5k to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
